This is Ruby and I (Serena)

She loves horse treats if anyone want to send her a
bag feel free to!

She was so mad day before yesterday she
would not eat any treats.

She even turned down her food night before last.

We took her to the obstacle course for the first time.

At the first approach to the ropes she want to turn tail and run.

Given time she took a sniff and went on through.
After the first few goes back and forth she learned that the ropes were not going to hurt her.
She made about 3 lapse around the bridge;
 before she went over it.
As with everything else once she figured it out it was no problem.
It took a few times to get her convinced to go
down in the trench
Once she was there it was no big deal.

She did really good and never tried to jump out.

Then on to the woods...
She crossed all the natural obstacles without any problems.
She had no problems going up the Texas 3 Step.
It took a little more work to get her to go down.
This was not a forced jump.

She walked right up to it smelled it
and then jumped right over it.

By the time we got to the 3 Down

She had no problem going through it.
This is Pikes Peak from the

picture you can see that it is about 7 ft tall.

She followed Barry right up
Over the top and down the heel.
Tag Team Effect...

Around our house there are lots of

"HORSE EATING MONSTERS!"

We have donkeys, chickens, dogs, other horses, pigs, goats, cats and yes, even grocery bags.

If Ruby had the chance she would run until she got back to Nevada.  I know the pictures make her look calm but please remember pictures can be misleading.

She is learning, but she will still paw, kick and bite if given the
right opportunity.   While I was taking these picture she bit the horse she was dallied to in hopes of getting away.

After we finished the obstacle course and through the horse eating barn yard she hit the dirt roads around our house.

She seemed to settle in and just enjoyed being out in the open.

It was cloudy with a slight breeze blowing.  It was the sort of ride that makes you happy you are alive...

Back at the house turned into Round 3

The introduction to the water hose.

Before I get e-mail about how we are doing this wrong I want to say we know to start at the feet and work our way up (go slow, etc...)  The picture once again do not reflect true actions.

During this episode, Ruby ran at us and used every bit of her power to escape the water.

It took about 3 mins for her to settle down and begin to relax
And finally she said OH you just want me to stand here!

What I have shown with Ruby is what we are doing with all (4) of our horses.  However, with me working I miss most of the other horses being worked.

I could not agree more with Michelle, there is no "I in Team" and I have even considered ordering shirts that say that! You can view Michelle's blog at  www.ourextremedream.com  she has Faith and is doing an exception good job with her!
